Tickets to the EPA tours must be purchased in advance, and will not be available after September 25, 2017. There is a limited amount of space on each tour. Register early to secure a spot. The two tours run concurrently — select one only.
The bus to the EPA campus will leave from the Raleigh Convention Center right after the sessions end on Thursday afternoon at 3:45 PM, and will return to the Convention Center at about 6:30 PM.
Tour EPA’s research experimental facilities in Research Triangle Park, NC, guided by EPA research staff. Two research facility areas will be toured: 1) A series of experimental laboratories for emissions and control technology research and, 2) an aerosol wind tunnel facility that is used to understand fate/transport of aerosols and inform exposure mitigation decisions such as after a wide area biological agent release.
Visit EPA’s National Computing Center, on the EPA research campus in Research Triangle Park, NC, and see demos of ongoing advanced computational research efforts related to aerosol science and air quality, including computational fluid dynamics models of the respiratory system, air pollution dispersion in complex topographies, and air pollution data visualization.
